Bridal Blooms

Bridal bouquet is one of the most symbolic and treasured elements of the wedding day. The choice of the bridal bouquet depends on the style and colors of the wedding as well as the bride’s height and weight.

It also takes its style cues from the bride’s dress. Simple gowns look more natural with posy or hand-tied bouquet with a ribbon. A cascade bouquet looks better with a train and long veil.  A ballgown can work with a simple nosegay or round shaped bouquet with unembellished fabric. If your bridal gown features a lot of embellishment choose a simpler bouquet.

“A modern version of the bridal bouquet was popularized by England’s Queen Victoria, who in 1840 carried a round clutch of orange blossoms in a filigree holder filled with moss together with a coronet of real orange blossoms sprays that trimmed her veil.”

Bridesmaids bouquets can be a smaller version of the bride’s bouquet. Not always that they have to be an exact match, however should echo a color, shape or at least the types of flowers.
